Training to Teach with Surrey Downs Partnership

Schools Direct, teacher training programme

We are a partner school with the Surrey Downs Partnership.

The Partnership was created in 2012 as The Warwick Partnership, named after The Warwick School in Redhill (now Carrington School). From September 2019, it changed its name to "Surrey Downs Partnership" to better embrace the wider inclusion of member schools and colleges, keeping the same founding ethos.

The Surrey Downs Partnership offers an Initial Teacher Training Programme with School Direct, leading to the award of Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE. Through our high-quality, local model, we believe trainees get the best experience possible; academic expertise in your subject specialism through our associated university providers Sussex and Brighton, as well as supportive school-based training with our hugely experienced partner schools. Our partnership is committed to training excellent teachers to broaden the life chances for as many students as possible. Through equipping our trainees with skills, curriculum understanding & opportunities to become a reflective and effective practitioner, you will become a successful and valued member of the teaching community.

You can contact Miss Rachel Ind, our Schools Direct Lead, for more information rind@carringtonschool.org.
