Recent weeks have seen Year 10s getting a taste of life after Carrington with visits to East Surrey College and Reigate College. Students also had the choice of a taster day at Crawley College or work shadowing with family or friends.

At the colleges, students got to experience what life is like on campus and take part in taster sessions of subjects they were interested in. New subjects available to try at East Surrey College were: Childcare, Health & Social Care, Film, 3D Design, Brickwork, Motor Vehicle, Travel & Aviation, Hair & Beauty, IT and Accounting. At Reigate College there was: Criminology, Travel & Tourism, Classical Civilisation, Photography and Law. Crawley College offer Hospitality & Catering and have a full training restaurant. 

Those that chose work shadowing had hands-on experience of the working world; observing professionals in a field they might be interested in for the future. It wasn't all suits and meetings, Dylan got his hands dirty helping change horse shoes for his dad who is a Farrier.
