Our 10s stepped up to the challenge of a one-to-one personal interview in preparation for life beyond Carrington, when 20 professionals came into school for the morning.

Every student had the experience of a 20-minute discussion about themselves and their aspirations for the future, posed to them by people from industry who they had never met before - quite a daunting prospect for young people of this age, but every one of them took it on with a positive mindset, and our visitors were unanimous in their praise and appreciation for our students.

They'll use this experience for their college interviews in November & December, and for workplace interviews too. It builds their confidence and faith in themselves, and reminds them of all the skills and qualities they have to be proud of.

We're really grateful for the commitment shown by our volunteers who took time out of their working day to be part of this event and help to develop our young people.
