A group of eager 9s travelled to the University of Surrey to take part in a ‘School Skills and Beyond’ event. The group listened to talks about careers and skills, had a tour of the campus and met professionals to find out about career pathways open to them in the future. 

The group finished the day by taking part in a number of engineering challenges which saw them building bridges, towers and rafts, scoring points for those that managed to last under the pressure of weight and wind.
