This half term, Year 9s were given a lovely surprise when they received some comedy writing advice from the team who created Friday Night Dinner.

Mrs Lockhart contacted BAFTA award winning writer and producer, Robert Popper (Friday Night Dinner, Peep Show, South Park) and asked if he would give our Drama students some advice on scriptwriting to support their work on sitcom as part of their History of Comedy unit. 

Students were thrilled that the famous producer replied with a humourous and informative 8 minute video for Carrington students, detailing his top tips and featuring guest appearances from some of the Friday Night Dinner cast. A particular highlight was a message from Jim Bell (Mark Heap) which we are sharing with you today.
