Curtains Up on Annie
10th March 2025
Last week, the school hall transformed into 1930s New York as students took to the stage for our spectacular production of Annie. With three incredible sold-out performances, the audience was treated to a show packed with unforgettable songs, dazzling performances, and even a rather unexpected four-legged star!
The lead roles of Annie and Grace were shared between Louise and Betsy (Annie) and Elsie and Izzy (Grace) and all four did amazingly well.
Of course, no Annie production would be complete without the loyal canine companion, Sandy. But in true school musical fashion, we put our own spin on things by casting a goat in the role! Despite a few moments of stubbornness (and some unfortunate accidents back stage), our hoofed star brought plenty of laughs and was a firm audience favorite.
The cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring the production to life, with stunning set designs, toe-tapping choreography, and show-stopping numbers like It’s a Hard Knock Life and Tomorrow. Every single student involved - whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in the tech crew - helped make the show a huge success.
A huge shoutout to our incredible directors, teachers, and everyone who helped pull off such a fantastic event. With three nights of full-house audiences and standing ovations, it’s safe to say this year’s musical was one for the history books!
Now the big question is—what show are we doing next year?
