We were excited to host local primary schools for a morning of Judo here at Carrington. Alongside some of our KS3 students, they had the exciting opportunity to meet Gemma Howell, two-time Judo GB Olympian (2012 London & 2020 Tokyo), European Champion, Commonwealth Games Silver Medallist and numerous Grand Prix Medallist and hear about her journey in Judo. They also had the opportunity to learn Judo moves directly from Gemma and Sensei Mike Hurst from Kensho Judo.

We hope that this was a memorable day for all those involved and that it has inspired some students to join our after school Judo club. Kensho Judo Club is on Mondays, 3:30 to 4:30pm in the Main Hall.
