Official Grand Opening

On Friday we welcomed staff old and new, members of our local community, local businesses and partner schools to join us to officially open our new learning spaces and to celebrate the journey we have been on since changing our name from Warwick to Carrington School.

The event began with tours of our new buildings where students were on hand to showcase what happens here at school, followed by a performance from the Concert Band and a display by our BTEC Dance students.

Speeches were made by Kerry Oakley, Headteacher and Paul Walsh, ACE Trustee and a personal message from Stuart Clark, author of the definitive biography of our namesake, Richard Carrington. The official part of the event ended with the Deputy Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor James Baker, unveiling our new commemorative plaque which will have pride of place in Astra Building.

We ended the event with drinks and canapes provided by our in-house catering team, Innovate.

It was so wonderful to see so many people enjoying our amazing new space.
