Reaching for the Stars, A Visit to Oxford University
17th October 2024
Mr Martin, Mr Turner and 12 Year 11 students visited St Hilda’s College in Oxford yesterday to find out more about studying at Oxford and life at a top university.
Students had a talk about what it is like to attend Oxford University and were also given a tour of St Hilda’s College. After lunch the group walked through Oxford to the Weston Library, which is one of the Bodleian Libraries. Here one of the guides took them through the Write, Cut, Rewrite exhibition, before taking a look behind the scenes at the library and then finishing at their rooftop gallery.
This really was an inspiring trip for all the students and we hope it has given them something to aim for in the future.
