A group of Year 8 Scientists visited ACS International School in Cobham yesterday to take part in a STEM day in collaboration with education charity SATRO.

The students met different employers and learnt about careers in the STEM industries and also took part in a number of different activities. There was even a talk by TV Scientist, Jon Tickle!

One of our teams (pictured) won the Humanitarian Bridge Building challenge, coming top out of 30 teams! The team had to work together to make decisions about where they would build a bridge in Africa, taking into account what materials were available and what skills they would need to have within the team. They put on a great collaborative effort – well done team!
