World Book Day '25

11th March 2025

World Book Day saw staff transforming into their favorite literary characters. From classic heroes such as Jekyll & Hyde to modern icons like Hagrid, the school corridors were filled with an unexpected cast of bookish legends.

One of the highlights of the day was the 'Where’s Wally' treasure hunt, where students had to track down all the dressed-up teachers hidden around the school. With some teachers going full undercover mode (Mrs Leung!), it was a challenge to find them all! The competitive spirit was high as students raced to complete their lists, proving that you don’t need a costume to join in on the fun.

We also held a book swap, where students could bring in books they had finished and trade them for something new to dive into. It was a fantastic way to spread the love of reading and give old books a second home.

Another big hit was the 'Shelfie Selfie' quiz. Teachers took sneaky selfies peeking out from behind bookshelves or hidden behind books, and students had to guess who was who. It turns out, some of our staff are masters of disguise!

Overall, World Book Day was a huge success, proving that reading and fun go hand in hand.
